M.M. who has a child with former Detroit Lions receiver Titus Young was granted a permanent restraining order against the man who has run into a slew of legal difficulties recently. Young is facing serious charges in Orange County after an incident involving alleged DUI, trespassing, burglary, theft and assault of authorities. He was first arrested in early May for drunk driving. He was released and then arrested again later that day for trespassing after he tried to break his car out of an impound yard. Five days later he was taken into custody after complaints of a home break-in. He was also accused of stealing several items from a convenience store including cigars, a candy bar and water. Officers found him hiding in some bushes and were reportedly assaulted by Young as they talked to him about the complaints. His former girlfriend recently filed for a restraining order against Young subsequent to his troubling behavior. She stated concerns for the safety of their son and her own safety after Young "exhibited menacing behavior toward her and once referenced O.J. Simpson in a threat." The judge granted the permanent restraining order which will be in effect for three years. Young is prohibited from coming within 100 yards of M.M. during that time. Young faces a possibility of 10 years or more behind bars for the various charges against him which include seven misdemeanors and four felonies. If you are concerned about your personal safety and/or the safety of your child or other loved ones then you should consult with a divorce attorney knowledgeable in restraining orders to learn about your legal rights.
