Divorce May Have Played Role in High Speed Crash

Divorce may be to blame for the high-speed crash that led to the death of a young man last week.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Jose Antonio Lopez was evading police capture after being seen leaving his wife's parents home. It was there that he has also been charged with murdering Kay Lopez, 27, and her parents Deena Henderson McLean, 52, and Pat Garrett McLean, 54. Officers pursued in a high-speed chase along Interstate 35 when Lopez finally lost control of a vehicle, crashing into a patrol vehicle and killing himself.

Sgt. John Foster reported that three more people were also present in the house, including a 1-year-old child, all of whom were able to escape before the shootings concluded.
