Divorce Rate Falls

According to a recent report released by the National Center for Health Statistics, three of life's and major milestones have become somewhat scarcer when compared to last year.

The recent report shows that the birthrate fell again in 2009. There were 13.5 births per 1,000 people last year compared to a birthrate of 13.9 births per 1,000 people in the year 2008. Back in 2007, the birth rate was much higher at 14.3 births per 1,000.

Additionally, marriage and divorce rates all in 2009. According to the Center, there were 6.8 marriages per 1,000 people in 2009. In 2008, the rate was 7.1 marriages per 1,000.

The study also revealed that there were 3.4 divorces per 1,000 people in 2009. In 2008, the rate was 3.5 per 1,000 people and in 2007, the rate was 3.6 per 1,000.
