Bethany Frankel, of "Real Housewives of New York" fame, is recently reported to be seeking what some feel is a substantial amount of child support. Additionally, she is asking the judge on her divorce case to enforce the prenup that she and her now ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, had signed just before their wedding. Frankel announced that the two were officially divorced in late December. Talk to a divorce attorney today about your legal rights and options when it comes to a prenuptial agreement, marital support, child support or other divorce matters.
Frankel and Hoppy were married in spring of 2010 while Frankel was seven months pregnant with the couple's daughter. She is seeking primary custody of the now 2-year-old little girl as well as child support and payment for some of her own medical bills. Frankel has requested that her ex-husband be responsible for retroactive child support going back to the time when the she filed for divorce. What Frankel received from her former spouse's assets as a pharmaceutical sales executive and from real estate dealings was not revealed. Frankel has managed to amass assets of her own over the last two years from starring in a number of reality TV shows, launching her own line of low calorie liquor, a women's shapewear line and an upcoming new TV show on a major network.
