The Los Angeles Times, and several other media outlets, have reported that actress Pamela Anderson is divorcing her husband, film producer Rick Salomon. This is the second time the couple had wed, the first began in Las Vegas and ended in an annulment in 2008.
While the couple's first union lasted a little over five months, this second marriage has lasting nearly six. The announcement of their separation is listed as July 3. Anderson had only announced their second marriage publicly this past January during a Haitian fundraising event and flashed her new ring to the crowd. According to reporters, they had wed on January 9.
Anderson told reporters at the time, "Our families are very happy and that's all that matters."
Anderson, most known for playing a lifeguard in the television show "Baywatch", filed for divorce on the last weekday before a long holiday weekend. Other celebrities, including Maria Shriver, Katie Holmes, and Ashton Kutcher, also sought to end their marriages in the same way.
Anderson, 47, has had two celebrity divorces prior to this one: the first was from Tommy Lee, who she had two sons with, and the second was from Kid Rock. She was married nearly three years to Tommy Lee, though the relationship was off and on for a few years after their divorce; and about three months to Kid Rock in 2006. Both men are well known rock musicians.
Salomon, 46, has been married only once before, however, he had one other annulment. In his marriage to Elizabeth Daily he had two daughters. The annulment was in his marriage to actress Shannen Doherty. Anderson's manager has yet to answer questions from reporters or issue a statement. Anderson herself released a poem on Facebook to describe her feelings and frustrations.
The filing does not list the reason for divorce other than "irreconcilable differences." Anderson and Salomon vacationed together in the South of France for the Cannes Film Festival this past May and were spotted sharing a single-seat bicycle in June.
