Nevada Has Highest Domestic Violence Murders against Women

Nevada is known for many great things but it has also been distinguished as the state with the highest domestic violence murders against women. A group of concerned individuals have decided to meet in Reno this month to discuss what can be done to prevent further harm. The team was organized officially under Senate Bill 66 and will be led by the state attorney general. The primary focus of this group is to discuss protocols that should be in place for women that are in danger of being harmed by their partners/spouses. Based on what they find, the group will then established policies that will hopefully reduce the number of fatalities of women by men in their state.

While this is not an easy task, certainly one that could take years to accomplish, the attorney general is optimistic about effecting change. The group will listen to leaders in the community from the police, prosecutors, faith leaders, and community groups that regularly deal with victims.
