Seven Men Indicted for Failure to Pay

Courts around the country are reprimanding fathers for failing to make child support payments. Seven such men were indicted last week in Cuyahoga County. Together they owe a total of nearly $98,000 to the mothers of their children. The seven men range in age from 27 to 53 years old. T.O., 45, owes the most in back child support payments with a total of $32,910.22. His last payment was made nearly 2 years ago for his daughter who is now 22 years old. The rest of the men owe at least $6,000; the majority of them have not made a payment for the past six months.

Now that the men have been indicted in Cuyahoga County, they face arraignment later this month. At that time, the judge will decide how the men will be punished. They could face time in jail if they are unable to make their owed payments.
