Domestic violence happens in households across the country, often undetected with fatal results.
Such is the case of a 39-year-old man who has been accused of shooting his girlfriend and her two children. The suspect went before a judge last week and pleaded not guilty to the three counts of murder that were placed on him by the prosecution. According to the police reports, the suspect shot and killed his girlfriend, along with her 16-year-old son and 19-year-old daughter, in the apartment they shared.
Along with the murder charges, the suspect also faces charges of possession of a firearm without a license and discharging a weapon within 500 feet of a building. He is expected back in court later this week, with his interpreter, for the probable cause hearing.
