Nas to Pay $25,000 Per Month in Support Payments

It looks like rapper Nas will be getting a break in his spousal support payments to ex-wife Kelis. A judge ruled that Nas could cut his spousal support payments to $20,000 and child support payments to $5000 per month for baby Knight.

The pair were married for four years and dated for two before deciding to divorce in 2009. At that time Kelis was seven months pregnant with their child. Their divorce was finalized on May 2010 after a long and bitter battle that focused primarily on money.

Although the rapper will still be paying a significant amount to ex-wife Kelis every month it is a minor victory considering the original sum of $50,000 demanded by the singer. In the initial court hearing Nas stated that he didn't gross enough monthly to pay payments of $50,000.
