37 Year Old Husband Served with Restraining Order

Paul Hughes, 37, was served with an emergency protective order involving domestic violence against his wife. He has been ordered to stay away from and not have any contact with his wife. The order was served at 8:40 a.m.; his wife later reported receiving a text message from him at 9:30 p.m.
Since he violated the order he was picked up and arrested by local police at 10:40 p.m. who took him into the county jail. San Anselmo Police Sgt. Rob Schneider confirmed that it is not unusual to arrest someone when they are in violation of an emergency protective order or even for violating a restraining order that involves domestic violence.
Hughes, a local contractor, is being held on a $5,000 bail.
