Couple in Middle of Divorce Under Federal Investigation

Not only are a husband and wife battling over the terms of their divorce, but they have also found themselves at the center of a federal investigation.

The two have been charged in the largest ticket scalping scandal the state of Kansas has seen, which surprised those close to the couple. As the former athletic associate director, the husband had gained fame and respect over the years. Yet as the scandal unfolded, his wife was also dragged down as a knowing and willing accomplice.

Due to their now criminal reputation, the divorce court took a deeper look into their finances. They found that the husband had transferred several pieces of property to his wife during the divorce in an attempt to commit further fraud. Since these transfers are valued at $400,000, the ex-husband could be facing additional charges for trying to avoid paying this extra amount during the divorce trial.

Divorce is always tricky, which is why those who are in the midst of a divorce should seek help from a family law attorney immediately.
