Brutal Domestic Violence Case Reported

Any case of domestic violence is heartbreaking, but one community is reeling from the news that one of their own was so brutally injured by her husband.

According to the Alaska State Troopers department, a husband and wife got into a minor argument last week at their home. The 30-year-old man became so enraged that he burned the wife with oil and then pointed a gun at her. Although the victim would not speak with police about the burns, a witness came forward to confirm that similar burns had been inflicted by the husband before.

This isn't the first time that the husband has been arrested for domestic violence. His record goes back to February 2010 and lists multiple incidents of domestic violence. This time, however, he was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence assault. Later reports indicate that the husband actually shot at his wife three times and had strangled her on multiple occasions until she lost consciousness.
