Child Custody Trial Begins for Dwayne Wade

In Chicago, infamous NBA star Dwayne Wade will save his ex-wife this week during a child custody trial at the Cook County Courthouse.  In June, the couple were able to reach a divorce settlement.  They have two sons together who are ages three and eight.

At the trial, Wade's lawyers had called upon his ex-wife, Siohvaughn Wade, to testify.  They questioned her about her arrest for a great assault with a deadly weapon as well as damaging property while she was a student at Northeastern Illinois University where she was later expelled.

Wade's attorneys asserted that his former wife tried to turn the two boys against him and also tried to prevent him from seeing his son.

However, Siohvaughn's lawyers said that Wade was too busy with his basketball career to take care of the children in that she has been the primary caretaker all along.
