Domestic Violence Results in Shooting

In San Bernardino, it is reported that a 56 year old man by the name of Jimmy Schlager opened fire upon his family.  The shooting and domestic violence incident led to the death of his son-in-law and his grandson.  Schlager also shot his stepdaughter and another grandson before he turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.

According to police, Schlager parked his bicycle behind the Del Taco restaurant on Sterling and Highland.  He then walked into the eatery with two semiautomatic guns in his possession.  His family was eating lunch when Schlager started shooting.

Officers report that the 29 year old mother and 33 year old father and their two sons were shot.  The father and his son died from gunshot wounds.  The mother was shot 10 times and remains in critical condition, along with her 5 year old son.  Both are receiving treatment at a local hospital.
