Woman Charged with Forging Paternity Paperwork

Authorities in Moulton have charged a woman with forgery.  Police say that they had conducted an investigation and discovered that the two signatures on court documents related to a paternity action were falsified.

Following the investigation, Amanda Hazen was charged with 2 counts of forgery by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.  According to the Alabama Bureau of Investigation, officials had conducted a 2 month long investigation which led to the discovery of counterfeit court documents.

Police say that Angela Terry's name was forged and that a fake name was listed as another judge on the paperwork.  The documents were allegedly sent to Hazen's ex-boyfriend and officers believe that she may have sent the paperwork to harass him.

If you are having issues with a paternity matter, such as establishing paternity or DNA testing, do not hesitate to get help from a family law attorney that has experience with these types of cases.
