Tiger Woods Not Out of the Woods in Divorce Settlement

The sensational Tiger Woods divorce settlement, as reported by CNN, Forbes and USA Today, has been reduced from the originally claimed $750 million to $100 million for ex-wife Elin Nordegren Woods. As Tiger Woods' total net worth is currently thought to be $600 million, $300 million is what most expect.

London's Sun news claims Nordegren Woods is the unnamed source perpetuating the $750 million myth as the divorce settlement is coming closer to being finalized.

Had this been true, Tiger Woods would follow as third, behind Rupert Murdoch and Steve Wynn, in the highest divorce settlements of all time. Tycoons Murdoch and Wynn are rumored to have paid out one billion dollars of their incomes to their ex-wives.

Nordegren Woods will also keep the couple's main home in Windermere, Florida, an additional $5 million adjacent property, an apartment in Stockholm and an island farmhouse when the 6-year marriage finally ends. Tiger will keep the $75 million estate in Jupiter Island, Florida that is currently under construction and a $3 million apartment in Los Angeles.

Nordegren Woods's prenuptial agreement is reportedly far less than this amount, but guarantees her silence from "tell-all books, interviews, or TV appearances for the rest of her life. Even if Tiger dies first."

Criticism on Nordegren Woods as a profiteer is also being reported as "Not too shabby for a model-turned-nanny." Leaving out the additional 'turned-wife-mother-wounded party' and only reason for the settlement.

The golfer Tiger Woods, as well as the husband, is suffering from the fall out to both parts of his life.  His performance lacking and excuses common in the two. During the US Open he blamed a loss of focus on his Caddy and his own personal problems. Facing former sponsors during the Fourth of July AT&T Nationals, he excused himself the first day.

What will his net worth, and profession, be reduced to before the final million, or millions, is paid?

One settlement concession is Nordegren Woods insistence that none of Woods girlfriends be allowed near their children. As reported by the Daily Mail, "A clause in the deal restricts who Tiger can expose the children to. No women he is romantically linked to are allowed around the couple's two children Sam, three, and Charlie, one, unless he marries them."  Only married women and female members of staff familiar to Nordegren Woods are allowed to be around the children.

Nordegren Woods is seeking physical custody of the couple's children and will share legal custody with Tiger. The couple will work together to decide where the children will go to school. Nordegren Woods is confident in Tiger being a loving father.

Tiger and Ellen Nordegren Woods married in 2004. They separated when reports were made public of his no less than a dozen extra-marital affairs.

Further news, as the proceedings continue, will be at the Orange County, Florida courthouse, and not Orlando County, as earlier reports stated.
