Mel Gibson agrees to Having Monitor present during Visitation

It is reported that actor Mel Gibson voluntarily requested that a monitor be present during his visitation with his daughter, Lucia.  The monitor is not mandated by the court, but has family law credentials and has been approved of by the Department of Child and Family Services.

At this time, Gibson is still involved in a contentious child custody battle with his ex girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva.  She has accused him of domestic violence, extortion and even child endangerment.

Since the battle, Grigorieva has released tapes to the media that contain heated conversations and fights with Gibson.  On the tapes, Gibson is belligerent and verbally abuses Grigorieva repeatedly.  However, representatives for Gibson claim that Grigorieva is trying to extort the actor.
