Billionaire Reaches Child Support Agreement

A billionaire and his former girlfriend finally came to an agreement regarding child support last week. Linda Evangelista had initially asked her former lover, Francois-Henri Pinault, for $42,000 per month. Although the final sum was not released to the public, it is assumed that she did not receive that entire amount. While Pinault can certainly afford the amount requested of him – he is the CEO of several luxury brands including Yves St. Laurent and Gucci – legal experts spoke about the likelihood of him paying that amount was very low. There were several issues brought up in court last week, including the limited contact that he has with the boy, his large expense account and the former model's career, all of which the judge used to arrive at a settlement.

Pinault is now married to actress Salma Hayek and the two have one child together. Evangelista was reportedly pregnant with Pinault's child when he first started courting Hayek.
