Man Tries to Flee to Mexico to Avoid Paying Child Support

You can avoid paying child support for only so long before the authorities catch you. One man learned this the hard way as he attempted to cross the border into Mexico.

The former doctor was found guilty of failing to make child support payments. He was thousands of dollars behind when he was indicted in 2006. Since then he has been living as a fugitive of the law and escaped detection. Officials were lucky to catch him last week as he attempted to cross into Mexico illegally. He was arrested immediately and brought before a federal judge.

He entered a plea of not guilty. The father of two is set to go to trial early next month.
