Celebrity Takes Out Restraining Order

Celebrities often obtain restraining orders against overeager fans. One such celebrity has been issued a long-term order against a man that is well over twice her own age.

The 19-year-old singer and actress learned this week that the court approved her long-term restraining order. Based on evidence provided by her lawyers to the court, the 46-year-old man has been ordered to stay far away from her and her family, including her famous boyfriend. If he is found to be within 100 feet of her at any time over the next three years, he can be thrown into jail immediately.

It took longer than expected for the teen star to get approval for the restraining order. The procedure was delayed since the stalker did not respond to court orders right away. However, he finally gave his consent and knowledge of the order which allowed a civil court judge to approve it.
