Father Behind on Child Support Threatens State Employees

While you can become angry at state employees, you can never threaten them. One man, angered by actions taken by the Child Support Recovery Office, threatened to shoot everyone working there. The suspect, 49-year-old K.J.H., learned that he would have his license suspended due to failure to make child support payments. He sent a letter to the Iowa CSR Office stating that he would shoot any employees of the office. Once this letter was received, the office was shut down and law enforcement agents were sent immediately.
Police also obtained a search warrant for the suspect's home. They were looking for weapons and the computer on which he may have typed up the threatening letter. He was later detained on one charge of first-degree harassment. K.J.H. was arrested at home without incident and is currently being held on $50,000 bail in a Black Hawk County jail. If you are behind on child support payments, don't take the law into your own hands. Instead, work with a
family lawyer in your city!
