Kate Winslet Speaks Up About Divorce

Although previously mum about the experience, actress Kate Winslet finally opened up to the media about her divorce from director Sam Mendes last year.

Gracing the cover of British Vogue, Winslet discussed the basic details of the divorce. The pair has a son together, while Winslet has a daughter from a previous marriage. The two met during the same year that Winslet divorced her first husband, Jim Threapleton, and were married two years later. Mendes even directed Winslet in 2008's Revolutionary Road.

While she didn't flaunt her brief fling with model Louis Dowler it was publicly known that Winslet was out and about just four months after her separation from Mendes. She did go on to tell Vogue about her coping mechanisms, which included exercising, therapy and always striving for happiness, adding that, " experiencing those moments of being alone…is a very, very weird flooring and exposing position to be in when you're not used to it."
