Child Custody Fight Involves Police Officer

It is one thing to fight with your former spouse regarding child custody, it is entirely another to start a fight with law enforcement officials.

One man learned this the hard way in Nevada when officers were called to the home of a local law enforcement officer. The officer called for backup when his son took a gun out and started pointing it at.   The son was distraught over giving his child back to his/her mother, who has custody of the child as stated by a court order.

While nobody was injured, the suspect was taken into custody on charges of domestic battery, false imprisonment, child abuse and neglect, abuse, obstructing a police officer and battery of a police officer. The suspect will remain behind bars until his arraignment later this week.

When child custody issues turn messy, it is advised that the people involved retain the services of a family lawyer in their state of residence as soon as possible.
