Child Custody Dispute Demands Police Involvement

It is one thing to get into a fight with your dad, but not when he is a police captain.
When a man refused to give up custody of his child to the mother last week, his father, a police captain, stepped in. However, the man did not appreciate the gesture and instead pointed a gun at his own father. Not wanting to handle the dangerous situation on his own, the captain called in his friends from the police department.
They arrived shortly after to find the man in a standoff with his own father. Officers were finally able to get the firearm out of his possession, but not without a physical fight first. The man was taken into custody and charged with domestic battery, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse or neglect, resisting/obstructing a police officer and battery on police officer.
If the mother or father of your child is failing to comply with your court ordered child custody arrangement, you should take the time to consult with a family law attorney who can offer assistance.
