Cheech Marin's Wife Asks for Restraining Order

Patti Heid, former wife of comedian Cheech Marin, had a restraining order against her ex-husband denied this week by a U.S. judge.

Heid has accused Marin of domestic violence when she asked him to sign a legal document that would transfer some property over to her. According to the documents for the restraining order, she alleges that Marin went to her home and verbally attacked her for going back on their agreement, as well as threatening legal action against his ex.

Marin then followed her back into the house where he "fractured [her] cheek, blackened [her] eye and violently choked [her,] causing severe bruising on [her] beck and neck pain...numbing of [her] arms and hands." The comedian is then accused of strangling his son as well.

Although a judge denied the restraining order an additional court date was set for later this month to revisit the case. Marin is not responding to allegations at this time.
