Huge Child Support System Error Made

When James Powell started receiving paperwork for someone else's child support in the mail, he knew that a mistake had been made. It turned out to be a costly one for him and his three daughters.
It turns out that the thousands of dollars that had been withdrawn from his paychecks for child support had never actually made it to his own children. He called the El Paso County Child Support Services, as well as the state office in Denver, both of whom assured Powell that everything would be taken care of.
Yet when his license was suspended for the third time due to lack of payment, he found himself with yet another unwarranted ticket and a court date. Finally, the deputy director Dan Savage reviewed Powell's case and admitted that there was indeed a serious problem, "It's a mess. I haven't seen a mess like this, and I've been doing this for 10 years."
