Aguilera Goes Over Prenuptial Agreement in Court

Pop singer Christina Aguilera filed for divorce from her husband Jordan Bratman following their September 11, 2010 separation, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.

At this time Aguilera discussed their prenuptial agreement and asked that the court recognize her claim to jewelery and personal effects, as well as her earnings made before, during, and following the marriage's dissolution. She wished to have these all deemed as separate property, thus protecting them under the clauses of the prenuptial agreement.

In addition to confirming the status of the prenup, Aguilera is asking for joint physical and legal custody of their son Max, termination of spousal support, and that both parties are responsible for paying their own legal fees.
