Town Closes Child Support Office

Despite the closing of the Union City office of Child Support Services, families will continue to receive service, but now from the Dresden office instead. However, customers can still use the same call-in number and meetings will continue to be held in Union City, with a member from the Dresden office traveling to meet the customer. Director of Field Operations Charles Bryson revealed that only a small number of cases were served in-house, about 50 to 60 per month, and that a closing of an office isn't unusual. Since several counties can be covered by a single judicial district, it is sometimes advantageous to have one primary office to meet with customers in.
Court cases will also be heard in the same jurisdiction as before to prevent any inconvenience for those customers who relied on the Union City office.
If you have questions about your child support case and aren't sure where to turn, start by calling a family law attorney. An attorney can point you in the right direction and offer legal advice that you might not have been aware of.
