Husband Plans Murder, Wife Gains Oversight of Business

As reported by My San Antonio News Express, Tina Son Yuchnitz has gained oversight of the businesses she owns with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Michael Yuchnitz, because last month he was accused for attempting to have her murdered.

Michael Yuchnitz, known by local residents in San Antonio as the pitchman for the eyewear company he owns with his estranged wife, Tina Son, was ordered on November 17 to no longer oversee both their optical or tattoo businesses.  Both businesses are considered profitable.

The decision is part of the couple's divorce proceedings.

Along with giving oversight of the businesses to Tina Son, State District Attorney Peter Sakai has also signed a protective order for her.

Tina Son met Michael Yuchnitz - only while under the protection of a bodyguard - earlier this week in court.

Temporary divorce orders were also announced on November 17.  Michael Yuchnitz, though now released on bail, did not appear in court for the announcement.

Tina Son Yuchnitz said, "I'm trying to be as decent as possible.  This is all very hard for me. I worked hard for 20 years, 30 years of marriage. This is all too much."

The two businesses now under the watchful eye of only Tina Son are My $39.95 Optical and Platinum Tattoos.  The orders are only temporary but they will remain in effect until the divorce is finalized - either by mediation or trial.

Each party will receive a weekly allowance.

Michael Yuchnitz is not allowed to visit either business and will only be able to get information via his accountant.

Their joint bank account - containing over $500,000 - will be frozen except for attorney fees and other expenses that have already agreed on.

The couple owns 10 cars, two of which Sakai ruled for Michael Yuchnitz's use: a Humvee and Corvette.

Stephani Walsh, divorce attorney for Tina Son Yuchnitz, said that on one hand her client is relieved to have control over the businesses, but on the other, she fears for her safety.  Walsh said, "She has 24-hour security at her expense and will continue to do so as long as she can afford it."

Michael Yuchnitz is represented by a team of both criminal and divorce attorneys.  His civil attorney, Miguel Ortiz, said in court, "Right now, what happened on the criminal side is just allegations.  On the divorce issue, of course there is a lot of property and assets that need to be sorted out."

Court and police documents revealed that Tina Son Yuchnitz only filed for divorce a few hours after finding out that her husband allegedly plotted to have her murdered.

An unidentified man came forward to police with the story that Michael Yuchnitz had paid him $5,000 to kill Tina Son, with another $5,000 to be paid once the job was done.  The man said that Michael Yuchnitz gave him a photo of Tina Son and her schedule.

Michael Yuchnitz told him to make it look like a robbery.
