Sean Penn Says Ex Wife is Like a Ghost

Last year, Sean Penn and Robin Wright's divorce was breaking news.  However, the couple say that since their divorce proceedings, they have not spoken to one another.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Penn said of Wright, "She is a ghost to me now."  He also said that, "We spent all these years together… now she's just gone."

Last August, Wright submitted divorce papers.  The couple was together since 1989 and then married in 1996.  They have a son and a daughter together. 

Prior to their finalization of their divorce, the couple had filed divorce paperwork twice, first in December 2007 and again in April 2009.  After filing their paperwork, they reconciled.  Last year, the 44 year old actress told a magazine that their marriage was definitely over.  She said, "I hit a crossroad a while ago..."
