NFL Player Will Smith Accused of Domestic Violence

Will Smith, not the famous actor but the defensive end for the Saints, was arrested on Saturday when police witnessed him pulling his wife's hair.

The football player was outside a nightclub at 2 AM when he got into an argument with his wife. Police watched as he grabbed her by the hair and dragged her down the street. At that time they intervened and hailed Smith off to jail. Paul Mouton, police corporal in Lafayette, stated that her injuries were minor in a press release.

Smith was released on a $1000 bond on Saturday after being charged with simple battery and domestic violence. The director of media relations for the Saints, Greg Bensil, has already made a public statement that the team has spoken with Smith about the incident.
