Politician Accused of Owing $100,000 in Child Support

A member of congress has fallen far behind on his child support payments and was recently a no-show when he was called to court regarding the case. A member of the Tea Party movement, the representative is said to owe his ex-wife more than $100,000 in child support payments for their three children, two of whom are now adults. The woman claims that her ex-husband owes well over $100,000 and that he has not paid her for the last several years.

A judge ordered the representative to show cause as to why he has not been paying child support for the last five years. If the man fails to do so he may be held in contempt for falling so far behind on his court-ordered payments.

The woman told reporters that she has asked the court multiple times to order her ex-husband to pay child support. The couple divorced in 2002 and the woman has apparently been struggling to get her politico ex to come through with child support ever since.
