Man Takes Divorce Hard and Confronts Wife with Gun

A disgruntled 58-year-old man was shot and killed by local police officers after confronting his ex-wife and a real estate agent with a gun. The man and his ex-wife had signed their divorce papers only a week prior to the incident.

The man allegedly came into the art gallery where his ex-wife worked and confronted a real estate agent that the man apparently blamed for the end of his marriage. The man shot and wounded the real estate agent before police surrounded him.

News sources say that the man refused to drop his gun and urged the police officers to shoot him. The situation escalated and the police officers shot and killed the disgruntled husband. According to the gallery owner, during the dispute she told the ex-wife, her employee, not to look and urged the people in her store to duck and take cover. The police officers who shot the ex-husband have been placed on administrative leave while a grand jury examines the case to determine if the use of deadly force was justified in this instance.

If you are going through a contentious divorce, instead of taking matters into your own hands and surrendering to anger, consider working with a family lawyer.
