A judge in the Nebraska area has reportedly denied a divorce to a same-sex couple who was married in 2003 in Vermont. According to reports, the judge claimed that Nebraska only recognizes marriages between a man and a woman. Therefore, he claimed that he does not have jurisdiction to dissolve the marriage as the state does not recognize it. However, the judge did rule on other matters in the case including a parenting plan and child support.
